The Role
We are looking for a Sales & Business Development Manager to develop Distillius accounts across Singapore's bars, restaurants, hotels, hospitality groups, retailers and beverage trade.
This is a hands-on commercial role combining new business development, account management, distributor engagement, trade education and brand activation.
You will work closely with the founders, distilling team, distribution partners and hospitality customers to build long-term relationships and sustainable sales across the Distillius portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business across bars, restaurants, hotels, hospitality groups, retailers and relevant trade accounts.
- Identify prospective customers, arrange meetings, conduct tastings and present the Distillius portfolio.
- Build and maintain relationships with beverage managers, bartenders, sommeliers, restaurant operators, purchasing teams and hospitality decision-makers.
- Secure product listings, menu placements, pouring opportunities and repeat business.
- Manage accounts from initial introduction through commercial negotiation, activation and ongoing account development.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and work towards agreed sales and distribution targets.
- Work closely with distributors and other commercial partners to develop accounts and identify new opportunities.
- Conduct product tastings, trade presentations, staff training and brand education.
- Support customers with cocktail development, menu integration and initiatives that help drive sustainable product sales.
- Represent Distillius at trade tastings, exhibitions, hospitality events, pop-ups and brand activations.
- Support new product launches and collaborations with bars, restaurants, hotels and other partners.
- Maintain strong knowledge of Distillius products, ingredients, production methods and brand positioning.
- Provide market feedback on customer demand, pricing, competitor activity and emerging beverage trends.
- Work with production and operations teams on stock availability, sales forecasting and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate account records, sales activity and pipeline reporting.
- Identify opportunities across corporate sales, gifting, events and other business-to-business channels.
- Support other commercial and brand-development initiatives as Distillius grows.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in beverage alcohol, wine and spirits, hospitality sales, distribution, business development or a closely related sector.
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing hospitality or trade accounts.
- Good understanding of Singapore's bar, restaurant, hotel and beverage industry.
- Knowledge of spirits, cocktails and premium beverage products.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation and communication skills.
- Experience conducting tastings, sales presentations, product training or trade education.
- Commercially minded and comfortable working towards sales and revenue targets.
- Able to independently manage accounts from prospecting through conversion and ongoing development.
- Strong organisational and follow-up skills.
- Comfortable working in a small, entrepreneurial business and taking a hands-on approach.
- Willing to attend occasional evening or weekend trade events, tastings and activations.
- Diploma, professional qualification or degree in business, marketing, hospitality or a related discipline.
