Data Technician
Job Summary
This is a Data Technician role based in Boon Lay for a 3-month commitment with conversion opportunities to permanent. The position involves working with data servers, cables, and IT components in an air-conditioned environment with free meals provided. Candidates will undergo on-the-job training to perform physical and technical tasks related to server installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical and technical tasks for equipment
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain servers, network equipment, and cabling
- Move and rack equipment
- Fix broken servers by replacing hard drives, RAM, and other components
Required Skills
- Knowledge in IT software
- Knowledge in IT equipment
- Ability to work in shift patterns
Job Details
Commitment Period: ASAP - Min. 3 Months/Longer*CAN CONVERT TO PERMANENT*
Working Hours:
Training Period (Before 2nd Nov):
- Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6pm
Monday to Sunday (2nd Nov onwards)
Shift pattern as follows:
- 2 days morning (8.30am to 6pm)
- 2 days afternoon (3pm to 12.30am) - Need to share cab back with nearby colleagues if need be
- 2 days off
Salary:
- $13/Hr
- $30 Afternoon Shift Allowance/day
- After convert to perm: UP TO $3400 BASIC!!
Job Description (Dealing with data server, cables, IT components etc):
- On Job training will be provided
- Perform physical and technical task of equipments
- Work alongside with technicians in installing, troubleshoot and maintaining servers, network equipment and cabling
- Moving and racking equipments
- Fix broken servers (replace hard drives, bad sticks or RAM etc)
- Using hardware / software tools to support the task
