ICU Nurse Clinician
Job Summary
The Nurse Clinician provides clinical nursing leadership and expertise in the Intensive Care Unit by overseeing nursing practice, standards of care, and resource management. This role supports the Assistant Director of Nursing with administrative tasks while ensuring safe, evidence-based patient care. The position requires a highly skilled professional to provide clinical supervision and maintain excellent standards within a challenging hospital environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and evaluate nursing practice in ICU
- Manage nursing resources and patient care standards
- Provide administrative support to Nursing leadership
- Deliver clinical supervision for the department
- Ensure cost-effective and safe patient care
Required Skills
- Degree in Nursing with ICU Diploma
- Singapore Nursing Board registration
- 6-8 years hospital clinical experience
- Experience in precepting or clinical instruction
- Strong analytical and communication skills
Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical nursing leadership and expertise through assessing, planning, implementing and evaluation of nursing practice and standards of care for patients.
- Manage resources and apply evidence-based nursing practice in the Intensive Care Unit.
- Provide planning and administrative support to the Assistant Director of Nursing.
- Provide nursing leadership and clinical supervision for the department.
- Ensure and maintain safe practices in the delivery of care within reasonable costs to patients.
Requirements:
- Minimum Degree in Nursing with Advanced Nursing Diploma in Intensive Care Nursing or equivalent.
- Registered with Singapore Nursing Board for Registered Nurse.
- Minimum 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in hospital clinical settings.
- Specialty experience in intensive care preferred.
- Experience of Preceptor/Clinical instructor/Nursing Education & Training preferred.
- A meticulous and analytical team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to work on shifts (including night shift).
- High adaptive to new challenging environment.
