Job Summary

As a Financial Accounting Officer, you will be involved specifically with financial accounting and reporting, regulatory reporting, and group reporting for an international banking institution. You will also participate in ad-hoc accounting-related projects, systems improvements, and systems testing as required. The role requires performing month-end closings, preparing regulatory and tax reports, and supporting group consolidation activities.

Key Responsibilities Perform financial accounting and related activities - Prepare, input or approve accounting-related bookings in Avaloq - Perform month-end closing activities - Assist to maintain accurate financial records - Prepare fixed assets listing and update additions and disposals of fixed assets and monthly depreciation entries - Perform any accounting related tasks as allocated - Participate in any accounting-related projects as assigned - Respond to internal and external auditors on audit data, variances and audit findings Regulatory reporting - Prepare and submit periodic reports on a timely basis and ensure compliance with local regulations - Prepare and circulate regulatory compliance reports to relevant internal stakeholders on a periodic basis - Prepare periodic statistical reports and surveys as necessary for various local authorities Prepare reporting and analysis for Group Consolidation - Support Group reporting related activities and the preparation of group reporting documents - Respond to the group on data issues, variances, etc. - Resolve any issues arising from group reporting in partnership with the relevant IT teams - Set up necessary parameters in core banking system to meet group reporting requirements Support Corporate Tax work - Prepare corporate tax schedules for review by tax agents before submission to local tax authorities - Liaise with tax agents for tax submissions and address tax queries from local tax authorities Requirements - Possess good degree qualifications in finance, accounting or business from recognised Universities or professional accounting qualifications - Minimum 5 years relevant experience - Excellent written and oral communication
