Job Summary
Join a dynamic finance team to support accounting operations, financial reporting, and process improvements on a 1-year contract basis. Partner with regional accounting teams, business stakeholders, and auditors while contributing to meaningful finance projects. Bring 2 to 3 years of relevant accounting experience with a degree in Finance or Accounting to this dynamic role.
Responsibilities
- Support monthly, quarterly and year-end closing
- Review Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations
- Prepare GST and withholding tax returns
- Liaise with internal and external auditors

Job Details
What You’ll Be Doing
- Partner with the accounting team in Malaysia to ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end closing.
- Review Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations and follow up on outstanding or unreconciled items.
- Lead and support ad-hoc accounting and finance projects.
- Analyse financial performance and prepare meaningful variance analysis.
- Provide accounting and financial support to various departments and business units.
- Prepare GST and withholding tax returns, declarations and supporting documentation.
- Identify opportunities to enhance financial and internal control processes, and support their implementation.
- Liaise with banks on treasury and banking-related matters.
- Coordinate quarterly and year-end stock takes.
- Coordinate year-end fixed asset sighting exercises.
- Work closely with internal and external auditors to address audit matters and follow up on recommendations.
- Support year-end tax filing activities.
- Assist management with business analysis, projects, initiatives and other finance-related assignments.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline, or equivalent professional qualifications.
- 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with exposure to General Ledger (GL) functions.
- Experience using accounting software; Oracle experience would be advantageous but is not mandatory.
- Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
- A hands-on and collaborative approach to work.
- Proactive, self-motivated and willing to learn.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently within deadlines.
