Accountant / Senior Accountant – Accounting & Professional Services Location: Singapore Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: S$4,000 – S$6,500 per month, depending on experience and qualifications About the Opportunity Our clients are established accounting and professional services firms in Singapore that are expanding their Accounting & Finance teams. We are looking to connect with Accountants and Senior Accountants who are interested in building their careers within accounting practices, client accounting, outsourced finance or professional services environments. This is an excellent opportunity for accounting professionals who enjoy working with multiple clients, handling full sets of accounts and providing accounting support and advice to businesses across different industries. Key Responsibilities: Depending on your level of experience, responsibilities may include: - Manage and maintain full sets of accounts for a portfolio of Singapore-based clients. - Handle General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and bank reconciliations. - Perform month-end and year-end closing activities. - Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements and accounting schedules. - Prepare and review GST calculations and submissions. - Assist with corporate tax computations and statutory reporting where required. - Prepare cash flow reports, budgeting information and financial analysis. - Liaise with clients regarding accounting matters, financial information and reporting requirements. - Coordinate with external auditors and provide audit schedules and supporting documentation. - Ensure accounting records are maintained accurately and in accordance with relevant Singapore Financial Reporting Standards. - Identify accounting discrepancies and recommend appropriate adjustments. - Assist clients with accounting process improvements and system implementation where required. - Support the preparation of financial reports and other management information. - Maintain proper documentation and ensure deadlines are consistently met. - Provide guidance to junior accounting staff where applicable. - Handle ad-hoc accounting and client assignments as required. Requirements: We welcome candidates with different levels of accounting experience. For Accountant-level positions: - Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline. - Approximately 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience. - Experience handling full sets of accounts is highly preferred. - Familiarity with Singapore accounting standards and GST. - Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. - Experience with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or other ERP/accounting systems will be advantageous. - Good communication and interpersonal skills. - Able to work independently and manage multiple deadlines. For Senior Accountant-level positions: - Degree in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent professional qualification. - Approximately 4–8 years of relevant accounting experience. - Strong experience in full-set accounting and financial reporting. - Experience managing a portfolio of clients or working within an accounting / outsourcing environment will be advantageous. - Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and GST. - Experience liaising with auditors, tax agents and clients. - ACCA, CA Singapore, CPA or equivalent professional qualification will be advantageous. - Experience supervising or mentoring junior accounting staff is preferred.
