Laser Application Engineer
Job Summary
The Laser Application Engineer will design and produce product samples using CAD software and laser equipment. This role involves supporting product development, fabrication processes, and addressing customer application needs. The position requires a hands-on approach to operating laser technology and optimizing technical designs for production.

Job Details
Key Responsibilities
CAD Design & Product Development
- Prepare production drawings using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software.
- Design and create prototypes, product samples, and demonstration pieces.
- Modify and optimize customer artwork and technical drawings for production.
Laser Equipment Operation
- Set up, operate, and maintain laser cutting and laser engraving equipment.
- Perform machine calibration and parameter adjustments for different materials.
- Conduct testing and quality inspection on completed products.
Product Applications & Innovation
- Develop new applications and product ideas using laser technology.
- Produce marketing and demonstration samples for customer presentations.
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams on product development initiatives.
- Contribute innovative ideas for new products and applications.
Technical Support
- Provide technical guidance on machine settings and production parameters.
- Assist customers with material selection and application requirements.
- Support product demonstrations and training sessions when required.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Design, or related disciplines.
- Experience using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent CAD software.
- Experience operating laser cutting, laser engraving, CNC, or fabrication equipment preferred.
- Strong hands-on technical aptitude.
- Interest in product development, prototyping, and fabrication.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates with experience in laser cutting, laser engraving machinery, CNC machining, fabrication workshops, product prototyping, manufacturing environments, or signage/customization industries will have an advantage.
