Accounting Lead

Responsibilities: Requirements Analysis: - Engage with Back Office and Finance stakeholders to gather and document reporting requirements. - Translate requirements into Business Requirement Specifications (BRS), Functional Design Documents (FDDs), and Datamart report specifications. - Understand Murex system setup, EOD processes, and BO/Finance accounting flows to ensure accurate report designs. - Align report designs with the broader Datamart data model strategy and participate in peer reviews. Datamart Configuration & Report Development: - Configure MX.3 Datamart objects including dynamic tables, feeders, processing scripts, and extractions. - Develop core BO reporting outputs (settlement instructions, nostro reconciliation, failed trade reports, cash management). - Develop core Finance reporting outputs (P&L attribution, mark-to-market, accruals, ledger reconciliation). - Maintain a clean reporting inventory and perform report-level data model mapping. - Execute processing scripts and manage EOD report scheduling and dependencies. Report Validation & Reconciliation: - Reconcile Datamart outputs against onscreen MX.3 views and source system data. - Resolve discrepancies arising from configuration, data enrichment, or filter issues. - Perform data quality checks on Finance reporting outputs. - Document and maintain a report reconciliation log through to UAT acceptance. Testing & UAT Support: - Define and execute test cases covering positive scenarios and edge cases. - Log and triage defects through to resolution. - Support business users during UAT by responding to queries and providing root-cause analysis. Requirements: Experience: - 5–8 years of hands-on experience in Murex MX.3 Datamart reporting within Back Office and/or Finance domains. - Solid working knowledge of MX.3 architecture: dynamic tables, feeders, batch of feeders, and processing scripts. - Demonstrated experience developing BO and Finance Datamart reports. - Proficiency in capital markets products and their trade lifecycle (FX, Money Markets, Interest Rate Derivatives, Fixed Income, and Equity). - Strong understanding of Murex Back Office modules and Finance/Accounting Engine. Technical Skills: - Intermediate to advanced SQL skills (Sybase and/or Oracle). - Basic to intermediate Unix/Linux command-line proficiency and Shell scripting. - Familiarity with Control-M or similar job scheduling tools. - Exposure to BI tools (Actuate, Crystal Reports, Tableau, or Power BI) and Excel VBA. Education: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, Computer Science, or Business Analytics. - Formal Murex training or professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA) is advantageous.
