Job Summary
The Lead Architect is responsible for analyzing, designing, and developing SAP S/4HANA implementation roadmaps within the finance domain. This role involves leading business requirement workshops, defining scalable architecture, and orchestrating cross-functional integration for financial processes. You will drive end-to-end process designs for O2C and P2P cycles while mentoring teams and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Job Details
Primary Purpose
- Analyze, design, and develop roadmaps and implementation plans based on current versus future state business architecture.
- Lead and facilitate the solutioning of business requirements and manage exceptions at a business level.
- Assess near-term needs to establish business priorities and align best practices to requirements with strategy plans.
- Consult with clients and IT teams on business solutions and provide recommendations on emerging technology to senior management.
- Establish strategy roadmaps and advise on options, risks, versus benefits and system impact based on industry best practices.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Understand the needs of business and the business vision.
- Articulate technology vision/roadmap and how it is applicable to the finance domain.
- Define and articulate solutions for projects, including business, application, data, and infrastructure impacts along with testing and implementation considerations.
- Play a key role in defining the Scalable Enterprise Architecture and Engineering guidelines as per industry best practices.
- Orchestrate and deliver solutions for SAP AP, AR, CO solutions within SAP S/4 HANA Finance domain.
- Drive end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process design, including invoicing, vendor management, payment, returns, billing, collections, and dispute management.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, credit controls, accounting standards, and company policies.
- Identify opportunities to automate Finance processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Lead functional workstreams in SAP S/4HANA implementations, rollouts, and transformation programs.
- Conduct and mentor workshops to gather and analyze business requirements for the financial track.
- Translate requirements into functional design and configuration specifications.
- Orchestrate solutions that work across FI, MM, SD, PP, QM and cross-functional areas to ensure end-to-end integration.
- Design and review functional specifications for RICEFW objects for enhancements, interfaces, and integrations.
Technical Expertise
- Lead SAP S/4 HANA Finance processes including: Account Payable, Account Receivable, Controlling, O2C/P2P lifecycle, Make to Order/Stock processes, Customer invoicing, SAP FSCM, SAP Fiori, Cash application automation, Asset Accounting, REFX, Fund and Grant Management.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related discipline.
- Over 15 years of SAP experience, including at least 7 years with S/4HANA solutions.
- SAP certification in FI or S/4HANA Finance.
- Experience with cloud-based SAP deployments (e.g., RISE with SAP).
- Completed a minimum of 5 end-to-end full lifecycle implementation projects, with at least 3 being S/4HANA projects.
- More than 7 years of team lead experience, having managed at least 10 team members.
- Experience working on projects involving at least 30 company codes and/or plants.
