Job Details
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage relationships with existing and prospective customers within the marine and shipping industry.
Identify new business opportunities and actively develop a pipeline of marine lubricant sales.
Manage key accounts, understand customer requirements and provide appropriate lubricant solutions.
Conduct regular customer visits, meetings and presentations with shipowners, ship managers, technical teams and procurement departments.
Prepare quotations, commercial proposals and sales presentations.
Negotiate pricing, commercial terms and supply arrangements with customers.
Work closely with internal procurement, operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth product delivery and customer satisfaction.
Monitor market developments, competitor activities, pricing trends and customer requirements.
Follow up on sales leads and convert opportunities into long-term business relationships.
Maintain accurate records of customer activities, sales opportunities and account performance.
Achieve agreed sales, revenue and gross margin targets.
Attend relevant maritime exhibitions, conferences and networking events to develop new business relationships.
Provide regular sales forecasts and updates to management.
Requirements
3–5 years of relevant sales or account management experience, preferably within the marine, shipping, lubricants, bunker, marine equipment or related industries.
Strong understanding of the maritime and shipping industry.
Proven track record in B2B sales, business development or key account management.
Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
Commercially driven with the ability to identify and close new business opportunities.
Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and technical customers.
Strong relationship-building and customer management skills.
Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
Willingness to travel for customer meetings and business development activities when required.
