Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer will interpret mechanical engineering drawings to plan fabrication workflows and optimize machining processes for precision parts. The role involves analyzing production efficiency, leading cross-functional activities to resolve manufacturing issues, and participating in New Product Introduction. Candidates must ensure that all process enhancements uphold strict quality standards while increasing production throughput.

Responsibilities

Required Skills

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 3 years in precision engineering
  • Familiarity with machining and fabrication processes
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks, MasterCAM, etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

Job Details

Responsibilities: - Interpret mechanical engineering drawings to plan fabrication workflows, select standard components, and generate Process Route Cards / Job Travellers. - Oversee and optimize machining and metal fabrication processes to manufacture complex precision parts. - Analyze process yields, production rates, and operational efficiency to propose capability improvements and cost-reduction strategies. - Lead cross-functional activities to investigate manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions. - Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI), manufacturing reviews, production transitions, and standard work updates. - Ensure all process enhancements uphold strict quality standards while increasing production throughput. Requirements: - Diploma or Degree in Precision Machining, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum 3 years of experience in a precision engineering environment. - Familiarity with machining (milling, turning, grinding) and fabrication processes (sheet metal work, welding, surface treatment). - Proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, MasterCAM, or HyperMill. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities applied to manufacturing processes. - Disciplined, systematic approach to tasks with proficiency in basic computer software.
