Job Summary
The Finance Head will establish and lead the finance function from the ground up for an early-stage infrastructure and industrial solutions business. Reporting directly to the CEO, the role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational execution. Key focus areas include project finance, ERP implementation, and building scalable financial processes to support organizational growth.

Job Details
Key Responsibilities
- Finance Leadership & Business Partnering: Partner closely with the CEO and leadership team on financial planning, long-term business planning, decision support, and growth initiatives.
- End-to-End Finance Operations: Establish and manage the full finance function, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, payments, financial reporting, and day-to-day finance operations.
- Systems & Process Setup: Lead ERP selection and implementation, while setting up scalable finance systems, processes, policies, and controls from the ground up.
- Governance, Compliance & Reporting: Ensure strong governance across audit, tax, statutory reporting, shareholder reporting, and regulatory compliance across relevant operating jurisdictions.
- Project Finance & Costing: Oversee project costing, budgeting, and tax planning for large-scale projects, working closely with commercial and project teams to support accurate financial planning and execution.
- Team & Function Build-Out: Build foundational finance policies, controls, and eventually a small finance team as the business continues to scale.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; CPA/CA qualification would be advantageous.
- Around 10–15 years of experience in a senior finance role, such as Finance Head, Finance Manager, Controller, or equivalent.
- Strong end-to-end finance experience, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cash flow, audit, tax, and governance.
- Prior experience in a start-up, scale-up, project-based, asset-heavy, engineering, maritime, energy, infrastructure, or industrial services environment would be advantageous.
- Experience with ERP selection, implementation, or finance process setup.
- Strong exposure to project costing and project financial management.
- Hands-on and pragmatic individual, comfortable operating at both strategic and execution levels.
- Able to work in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment and build structure from scratch.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and business partnering skills.
