Senior Accountant
Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to manage full set accounts, financial records, and cash flow projections. The ideal candidate will coordinate with departments for billing, handle bank-related matters, and process vendor payments. A background in finance with experience in the construction industry is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform chart of accounts, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Monitor bank balances and manage bank-related matters
- Prepare cash flow projections and ensure compliance with policies
- Process vendor and supplier payments using online banking
Required Skills
- LCCI/ACCA or Diploma/Degree in Finance/Accounting
- Experience in full set accounts
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Construction industry experience is an advantage
Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and maintaining the chart of accounts, posting journal entries, and reconciling accounts.
- Coordination with other relevant departments to ensure timely billing of sales invoices, follow-up payments and support of intercompany transactions.
- Monitor and update daily bank balances to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Primary point of contact for all bank-related matters, including account inquiries and transactions.
- Prepare and maintain cash flow projections to assist in financial planning and decision-making.
- Ensure proper accounting records and compliance with company policies.
- Initiate and process payments to vendors and suppliers using online banking platforms, while adhering to payment schedules and financial controls.
- Assist in implementing a new system to ensure a smooth transition.
- Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirement:
- LCCI/ACCA or Diploma/Degree in Finance/Accounting.
- Having experience in full set accounts.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Good analytical, communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in the construction industry will be an added advantage.
