Global NPI Quality Director
Job Summary
The Global NPI Quality Director will lead the end-to-end quality strategy for New Product Introduction across multiple semiconductor manufacturing sites in Asia. This senior leadership role ensures product excellence, reliability, and manufacturability from the design stage through to full-scale production. The successful candidate will drive cross-functional quality alignment, risk management, and team development in a high-precision manufacturing environment.

### NPI Quality Strategy & Execution
- Lead the development and implementation of a structured New Product Introduction Quality system.
- Define quality gates across design, development, validation, and product launch stages.
- Ensure alignment of quality plans with engineering specifications and customer expectations.
### Risk Management & Product Reliability
- Conduct structured risk assessments (DFMEA, PFMEA, APQP methodologies).
- Identify design and process risks early in development cycles.
- Develop and execute mitigation strategies to ensure product robustness and reliability.
### Multi-Site Quality Leadership
- Lead and align quality teams across multiple manufacturing sites in Asia.
- Standardise quality processes and ensure consistent execution across locations.
- Drive cross-site collaboration and best practice sharing.
### Customer & Field Quality Management
- Act as escalation point for critical customer and field quality issues.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for product performance concerns.
- Strengthen customer satisfaction through proactive quality assurance and resolution.
### Quality Systems & Digital Integration
- Develop and enhance enterprise-level NPI quality systems and governance frameworks.
- Improve data integration across systems to support traceability and analytics.
- Contribute to digital transformation of quality management processes.
### Leadership & Organisational Development
- Lead and develop a high-performing, geographically distributed quality team.
- Define clear departmental objectives and performance metrics aligned with business goals.
- Drive continuous improvement culture across NPI and manufacturing functions.
### Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related disciplines.
- Strong experience in semiconductor, precision engineering, or advanced manufacturing industries.
- Proven track record in New Product Introduction / NPI Quality leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, APQP, FMEA.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing regional or multi-site teams.
### Preferred Attributes
- Experience in semiconductor equipment or high-precision manufacturing environments.
- Strong stakeholder management across engineering, operations, and customers.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Exposure to quality digitalization or system integration initiatives.
- Ability to operate in complex global matrix organizations.
### Travel Requirements
- This role requires frequent regional travel (50% or more).
- Regular engagement with manufacturing sites across Asia is expected.
- May involve occasional extended on-site assignments depending on project requirements.
