Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Business Quoting: Propose optimal manufacturing process layouts and equipment footprints for new business bids. Calculate production ROI, estimate manufacturing costs, and manage initial CAPEX projections.
- Process & Tooling Design: Design, develop, and implement robust manufacturing processes, equipment parameters, specialized jigs, and fixtures for new or redesigned product rollouts.
- Front-End Engineering Support: Collaborate directly with advanced product development and product design lifecycle teams (ADP/PDP), injecting critical manufacturing and process engineering expertise early in the design phase.
- Overmold Specialty: Serve as the technical expert for precision overmolding and insert molding processes, specifically focused on ruggedized sealing configurations for electromechanical components.
- Production Launch & Transfers: Act as the project lead for transferring new, redesigned, or VAVE (Value Analysis and Value Engineering) programs safely onto the high-volume production floor.
- Standardization & Compliance: Establish and maintain comprehensive work instructions, production routing paths, and rigorous workmanship/quality standards.
- Equipment Commissioning: Direct the installation, testing, and full commissioning of new multi-million dollar manufacturing machinery.
- Financial & Operational Metrics: Track and manage allocated departmental CAPEX spending while meeting strict team KPIs across production Cost, Responsiveness, and Quality objectives.
Job Requirements:
