Job Summary

Lead injection moulding process development activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, including process optimisation, trials, and validation. Plan and execute mould trials, establish process windows using scientific moulding principles, and conduct Design of Experiments (DOE). Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support the successful transfer of validated moulding processes into production.

Required Skills

  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering or related discipline

Job Details

Responsibilities: - Lead injection moulding process development activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects. - Develop and optimise moulding processes to meet project timelines, customer requirements, and manufacturing objectives. - Plan and execute mould trials (T0, T1, T2, and T3), establish process windows using scientific moulding principles, and conduct Design of Experiments (DOE). - Lead process validation activities, including IQ, OQ, and PQ, and define critical process parameters and control strategies. - Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews, tool design reviews, Moldflow analysis, and supplier technical discussions. - Develop process setup sheets, validation documentation, and manufacturing standards. - Provide technical leadership during tooling, equipment, customer, and supplier reviews, including FAT and SAT activities. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support the successful transfer of validated moulding processes into production. Requirements: - Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, Polymer Engineering, or a related discipline. - Minimum 5 years of experience in injection moulding process engineering. - Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) programmes and process validation activities. - Strong knowledge of scientific moulding, process optimisation, DOE, SPC, and root cause analysis. - Experience in medical, electronics, or high-precision manufacturing environments is preferred. - RJG or equivalent Scientific Moulding certification is an advantage. - Strong analytical, communication, and project coordination skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
