CORE Engineer
Job Summary
ALG is hiring a CORE Engineer to focus on continuous process improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and operational excellence for a leading aerospace and manufacturing organisation in Singapore. The role involves driving improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma, developing digital solutions, and supporting cross-functional projects. The ideal candidate holds an Engineering degree with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in continuous improvement or industrial engineering.
Responsibilities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma
- Conduct VSM, process mapping, RCA, FMEA, 5S and DMAIC activities
- Develop digital solutions using Power BI, Tableau, or Power Apps
- Support and coach teams in Lean methodologies
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline
- 2–5 years of experience in Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing
- Hands-on experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and VSM
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools

Job Responsibilities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and structured problem-solving.
- Conduct VSM, process mapping, RCA, FMEA, 5S and DMAIC activities to improve productivity, quality, cost and delivery.
- Identify process gaps, bottlenecks and waste, and implement sustainable improvements.
- Lead and support Kaizen events and cross-functional improvement projects.
- Track project progress, KPIs and improvement benefits using relevant dashboards and reporting tools.
- Develop digital solutions using Power BI, Tableau, Power Apps, Power Automate, Ignition or equivalent platforms.
- Support and coach teams in Lean and continuous improvement methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Operations.
- Hands-on experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, VSM and structured problem-solving.
- Experience managing or supporting cross-functional improvement projects.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools, such as Power BI, Tableau or equivalent.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- OEM manufacturing experience is an advantage.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is preferred; Black Belt, PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage.
