Senior Finance Executive
Job Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Manager of Finance & Accounting, this role delivers financial and management accounting services as well as business partnering support to Mitsui Chemicals Group companies in Singapore. The scope covers full accounting cycles, statutory compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and various operational initiatives. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Accountancy or Finance with at least 5 years of relevant experience, possesses strong analytical skills, and is proficient in Excel and SAP.
Responsibilities
- Manage full accounting and finance cycle for assigned entities
- Prepare financial and management reports and variance analysis
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and audit requirements
- Handle corporate income tax filings and GST compliance
- Participate in finance process improvements and digitalisation initiatives
Required Skills
- Bachelor Degree in Accountancy, Finance or related discipline
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP

Job Details
Reporting to Assistant Manager, Finance & Accounting, this role is responsible for delivering Finance & Accounting services and business partnering support to companies within Mitsui Chemicals Group in Singapore. The scope includes financial and management reporting, month-end and year-end closing activities, budgeting and forecasting support, statutory compliance, and support for business and operational initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Manage full accounting and finance cycle for assigned entities, including transaction processing, reconciliations and month-end closing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
- Prepare financial and management reports, including variance analysis and supporting schedules.
- Support preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and management reporting.
- Provide Finance & Accounting support for business operations, projects, company initiatives, physical asset verification, inventory stock counts, and treasury-related activities.
- Prepare and coordinate corporate income tax filings, GST compliance, statutory reporting, and annual audit requirements for assigned entities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
- Participate in finance process improvements, digitalisation initiatives, and other ad hoc projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Accountancy, Finance or related discipline with at least 5 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; experience in SAP will be an advantage.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous, resourceful, and able to work independently.
- Effective team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
