Direct Semicon Buyer
Job Summary
The client is a leader in the semiconductor industry seeking an experienced direct buyer. This position is a 12-month contract role based in Upper Changi. The successful candidate will manage direct procurement, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and maintain SAP system accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Manage direct purchasing of production parts and components
- Create and process POs within SAP
- Coordinate delivery schedules and BOM/drawing updates
- Collaborate with engineering and supply chain teams

Job Details
Job Responsibilities
- Perform direct purchasing of production‑related parts, spares, and components.
- Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) in SAP based on approved pricing and supplier lead times.
- Ensure suppliers receive the latest approved drawings, specifications, and BOMs.
- Manage supplier delivery schedules and maintain accurate updates in SAP.
- Follow established procurement processes for delivery tracking, ECN implementation, FAI, and GR/IR follow‑ups.
- Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to support production needs and inventory plans.
- Review engineering drawings, part specifications, and material requirements.
- Support cost reduction initiatives and assist in identifying or recommending new suppliers.
Requirements
- Experience in direct materials purchasing or buyer roles in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands‑on experience with SAP; Teamcenter/PLM access is required.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOMs.
- Strong coordination and communication skills with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
